First of Four Summer Events to be Heald at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont's New Information and Wellness Center
Berlin, VT - An exciting agenda of free health and wellness activities await those who attend an Open House between 10:00am and 2:00pm, Saturday, June 8th at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont Information and Wellness Center at the Blue Mall in South Burlington.
“At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont we know that the best health care system starts with a focus on the health of our citizens. That’s why this event and others like it throughout the summer are so important,” said Kevin Goddard, Vice President of External Affairs and Sales. “We hope that Vermonters will stop by the information and wellness center this weekend and learn more about ways to improve their health.”
This event focuses on a “healthy body,” and is the first of four summer health and wellness events the state’s largest health plan is hosting at its new Information and Wellness Center located in the Blue Mall on Dorset Street in South Burlington.
Free biometric screenings, a catered nutrition talk with a Registered Dietician, and a hands-on fitness talk and demonstration by a personal trainer are among the planned activities for adults and children of all ages. The first 100 attendees will receive a free wellness bag and there will be plenty of goodies for kids as well as a raffle.
Health exchange specialists will be on hand to answer questions and offer support for Vermonters with questions about health care coverage and the upcoming health benefits exchange for individuals and small businesses.
Vermonters who cannot attend but have questions about the new health benefits exchange are encouraged to call our exchange phone line at 1-800-255-4550 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or stop by the Information and Wellness Center during normal business hours Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information about health care reform and how BCBSVT can help, please visit www.bcbsvt.com/vtreform
