The quality improvement project coordinator serves as liaison across department and division lines in driving meaningful HEDIS and CAHPS analysis and developing HEDIS related quality improvement projects. The incumbent manages clinical quality improvement projects and actively participates in HEDIS production activity. In addition, this position acts as a consultant to other departments engaged in quality improvement projects, ensuring that progress against goals is assessed periodically using meaningful data and projects risks are identified and mitigated. The QI Project Coordinator works with key players in the health care delivery system, including other plans, state agencies, and provider groups, to develop and implement improvement strategies across the system.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in business or health-care related field required.
Minimum of three years work experience in clinical or research setting
Masters degree in public health, public administration, or equivalent is preferred
Project management experience required
Knowledge of quality improvement methods and concepts, including NCQA and URAC standards and Vermont managed care regulations a plus
CPQH certification a plus
