The mental health substance abuse (MHSA) clinical quality consultant manages and implements a variety of MHSA related clinical quality assurance and improvement activities conducted within the quality improvement department including quality of care investigations and interventions , medical record reviews, HEDIS data collection, HEDIS improvement projects, and accreditation/regulation compliance activities. In addition, this position acts as a consultant to other departments engaged in MHSA quality improvement activities. The MHSA clinical quality consultant may also work with key players in the health care delivery system, including other plans, state agencies, and provider groups, to develop and implement improvement strategies across the system.
BS/BA degree in nursing or MHSA-related discipline.
Vermont RN or MHSA-related license required.
Minimum of three years in MHSA clinical setting.
Masters degree in MHSA-related discipline preferred
Project management experience required. Knowledge of quality improvement methods and concepts, including NCQA and URAC standards, desired. Familiarity with Vermont managed care regulatory requirements desired.
CPQH certification a plus
