Family Day’s – Hildene Mansion in Manchester, VT

Manchester, VT – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont will once again sponsor Family Days at Hildene, the Lincoln family home, on Sept. 30. Family Days is an event that encourages families to spend time with each other in active, fun and educational settings within their community. This year’s Family Days events will also feature a special informational session for individuals seeking more info on Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s Medicare supplemental plan.

For the past four years, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont has hosted Family Days at Hildene, the Lincoln family home, and Shelburne Museum. Admission is free of charge to members at both locations.

Our Family Days event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  A free delicious locally made lunch will be available to the first 100 attendees.  The whole family will enjoy touring the famous Hildene Mansion, stepping back in time in the perfectly restored Pullman train car, strolling along the wooded paths to visit the goat barn and taste Hildene’s very own goat cheese.

Also on Sept. 30, and prior to the Family Days event, we will be hosting a special informational session from 8:30 to 10a.m on health care during retirement, including information on our Medicare supplemental plan, Vermont Medigap Blue. The informational session will also include a short video. Following the session, we invite attendees to stay for light refreshments and join others for networking, a question period and receive personalized advice from our experts. Then feel free to stay and enjoy the historic grounds and gardens of Hildene. To register for the information session, please call Jill McDermott at (802) 371-3299 or visit
