Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont's annual health care symposium, this year on the Vermont Blueprint for Health, drew record attendance, with well over 400 Vermonters attending. The event, held at the Sheraton in Burlington, drew health care providers, legislators, employer representatives and members of the press and the general public.
"This year, we co-sponsored our symposium with the Vermont Department of Health," said Kevin Goddard, vice president of external affairs. "The department has a keen interest in the success of the Vermont Blueprint, which is a collection of initiatives designed to examine the way our health care system provides care and to promote better prevention and treatment methods for Vermonters with chronic illnesses." Goddard, along with Leigh Tofferi, director of government, public and community relations, and Kathy Parry, external affairs coordinator, organized the symposium. It was the seventh in a series of successful annual events.
