Timeline of Important Upcoming Dates!
October 1, 2013
Employee notification and employer enrollment begins.
October 31, 2013
Employers should enter business information and contribution level by this date.
November 1 - November 30, 2013
All employees on employer-sponsored plans must select a plan by this date in order to have coverage that starts January 1, 2014.
Notify BCBSVT if you would like to be directly enrolled by BCBSVT in an exchange plan, if you would like extend existing coverage or if you are dropping coverage for employees.
*If you do not take action before November 25th you will be mapped to an exchange plan that most closely resembles your existing coverage.
December 9, 2013
Bills are sent out.
January 1, 2014
Coverage begins if you enrolled and paid for your plan on time.
Last day to pay your premium for January coverage. If you have elected to enroll directly with BCBSVT or if you are extending your existing BCBSVT coverage, we will invoice you in early December.
