he Voices Project opens a window to the identity, hopes, courage and concerns of youth in Vermont; a vibrant stage production based entirely on teen voices.
The project's vision is to connect to and empower Vermont youth through the creation of a show that is fun, gutsy and authentic, based on reality and brought to life by Vermont's young people. The show transcends stereotypical views of teenagers.
Family, school, drugs, dating, health, sex, religion, peer pressure, diversity, media, politics and the world at large are explored through the Voices Project. Specific issues, such as rural vs. urban life, farming, class division and the similarities and differences of growing up in Vermont vs. the rest of the country are discussed.
The Voices Project is a collaborative effort between Kingdom County Productions, The Vermont Health Plan and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont.
