8th Annual Mountain Day

Mt. Wantastiquet - May 10th from 10am to 3pm

Brattleboro, VT – The 8th Annual Mountain Day at Mt. Wantastiquet will take place on May 10th from 10am to 3pm. This event is sponsored by the Windham County Community Advisory Board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont.

Participants can chose to make the hike up Mt. Wantastiquet or enjoy a lovely riverside walk. There will be free T-shirts, raffle prizes, and ice cream. The hikers will also be provided a free picnic of sandwiches, trail mix, water and apples – thanks to Green Mountain Orchard, Leader Beverage and Subways for their donations. New this year is the addition of a Story Walk! Enjoy reading a wonderful book while surrounded by the beauty of spring. The gorgeous view is well worth the 3.5-mile hike up Mt. Wantastiquet.

Mountain Day is one of several projects led by community members to encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles in the Brattleboro area. The event provides a perfect opportunity to get out and be active with family and friends, while enjoying Vermont’s long-awaited spring.
