BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD OF VERMONT ANNOUNCES DISTINGUISHED EMPLOYEE FOR SEPTEMBER 2004

Berlin, VT – Richard Otis, a resident of Barre, VT has been chosen as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s Distinguished Employee for September 2004.

Mr. Otis is a computerized mail operator and has been with Blue Cross and Blue Shield since January 1999. He is cited for his positive attitude, his willingness to help his co-workers, and for his dedication and commitment. A co-worker stated, “Whenever I have something to be mailed, I can always count on Richard to know the best and cheapest way to send it”.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont employs about 350 Vermonters at its headquarters in Berlin and its branch office in Williston. A committee of employees recognizes an employee each month in honor of Carol L. Goodrich, the winner of the first-ever Employee of the Year award in 1992.
