Over-the-Counter Drug Benefits
BCBSVT prescription drug benefits cover the following over-the-counter (OTC), non-prescription medications:
| | | | | | | • | Prilosec OTC™ (prescription must be written as Prilosec OTC) for stomach acid and reflux disorders
| | | • | Claritin® for allergies
| | | • | Claritin-D® for allergies
| | | • | Alavert® for allergies
| | | • | Zyrtec for allergies
| | | • | or any generic Loratadine for allergies

You must get a written prescription from a physician for these drugs to be covered under your pharmacy benefits. Take the prescription to the pharmacy, where the pharmacist will dispense up to a 30-day supply of the medication. You will pay the generic co-payment.
