Vermont Freedom Plan
Offers five options, with varying deductibles and out-of-pocket limits; includes a health savings account (HSA) compatible plan.
For those who have been uninsured for 12 months, have just lost employer coverage for certain reasons or who meet other eligibility requirements set by the State of Vermont's Green Mountain Care.

If you're currently enrolled in one of these plans or intend on enrolling, please note that all individual and family plans (noted above) expire on December 31, 2013. The state is transitioning to the new health benefit exchange called Vermont Health Connect.

To keep the coverage you depend on, you must enroll starting on October 1, 2013
Open enrollment for the state's benefit exchange, Vermont Health Connect, is from October 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. It is essential that you enroll during this time to ensure coverage for health care.

BCBSVT exchange specialists are available by phone, (800) 255-4550 8:00am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday to help you through the enrollment process or to answer any questions. If you would like to meet with a specialist in person, stop by our headquarters in Berlin or our Information and Wellness Center in the Blue Mall in South Burlington.
