Features of FEPblue.org

The FEPblue.org website provides a variety of self-service tools 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including a Secure Member Messaging initiative providing members with a secure two-way electronic messaging feature within the MyBlue Customer eService application.

The feature allows the members to:

  1. Send electronic messages to Plans at any time.
  2. Receive electronic messages in response to their concerns.
  3. Use the existing online services in the application, which guides members to make the basic changes to their enrollment information when applicable.
  4. Store a history of communication between members and Plans. View this initiative by visiting: the MyBlue Portal

 

This means you have access to what you need, when you need it, including:

  • Ability to view claims information
  • Order an ID card
  • View and/or print Explanations of Benefits (EOB)
  • Change your address
  • Review benefit information
  • View online provider directory
  • Health club membership discounts
  • And much more!

All you have to do is go to www.fepblue.org New window, select your desired action from the “What would you like to do today?” drop down menu (it’s the orange box in the upper right-hand corner) and you’re on your way! 

 

Online Provider Directories Help You Go Green

Going green is more than just saving paper.  It’s about the convenience of having the most up-to-date information available when you need it, wherever you are.


Plus if you are traveling, it’s a good idea to prepare for the unexpected, including the need for unexpected medical care.  The online Provider Directory and the new “Blue Finder” app make it easy to locate a Preferred provider anytime you need care.


The Provider Directory
The provider directories distributed by some local Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans are printed once a year and only provide a list of Preferred physicians, hospitals and other health care professionals that are Preferred when the directories go to print.  The Provider Directory on our web site contains the most current listing of Preferred providers nationwide and network provider overseas – it is updated at least every two weeks to reflect new providers and providers that have left our Preferred network.


It is also easy to use – you can quickly search for a specific provider or for a new provider in your area.


Still need a printed directory of providers in your area?  Or maybe you want to create a directory for the area where you are spending your summer vacation?  You can create your own personal provider directory using the online Provider Directory by selecting the Print option on the search results page through the self-service member website at www.fepblue.org  New window
