Every pregnancy is different. That's why we:
- offer five different benefit options
- provide a registered nurse case manager who works with you and your health provider to get you the best care available.
Your plan's special benefits may include:
- Reimbursement for childbirth classes
- Free Red Cross infant/child CPR/First Aid course (only for Vermont members)
- Breast pumps

Your Better Beginnings® registered nurse case manager will:
- Support and advocate for your individual needs
- Provide information materials to help you make informed decisions regarding your pregnancy
Eligibility
Benefits are available to all members EXCEPT those enrolled in any of the following:
- Federal Employee Program (FEP)
- Vermont Blue 65 Medicare Supplemental Plan
- New England Health Plan (NEHP)
- CBA
How to Register
You must register prior to the birth of your baby to participate in the program.
To register, simply complete, print and return the following forms:
- Better Beginnings HRA
- lists questions about your general and pregnancy health; helps determine if you may be at risk for an early delivery or other complications of pregnancy
