Our goal is to provide meaningful information so that you may make informed decisions about your health care. Please remember that you must consider medical information provided by BCBSVT as an educational and informational service only. Also, please keep in mind that we do not adjust results for different patient populations. Patients share responsibility for obtaining recommended preventive care.
The information provided by BCBSVT cannot predict the quality or outcome of any single individual's health care experience. Your experience will be the result of a variety of different factors, including but not limited to the hospital at which you receive care, the health care provider(s) from whom you receive care, and your own health status. BCBSVT cannot guarantee the quality or outcome of any medical care you receive at a hospital or health care provider office listed on this website.
The information found on this website should be one of several resources in your decision to select a hospital or health care provider of your choice. Always seek the advice of a qualified health care provider before choosing a hospital, and remember to confirm that your health plan covers any hospital, health care provider or service you select.
We report quality information for general practice, family practice, internal medicine and obstetric/gynecologic physicians at the practice level. BCBSVT uses the two most recent reporting years (2010 and 2011) to calculate the results. To be eligible for quality result reporting a practice must have 30 or more eligible members per measure.
