The Vermont Grocers' Association (VGA) is a statewide trade association representing all sectors of the Vermont food industry. Approximately 670 stores belong to the organization, including supermarkets, superettes, convenience and country stores along with suppliers to the industry. The Vermont Grocers’ Association is a networking alliance of merchants, retailers and suppliers organized to serve the educational, economic and Legislative needs of its members. Associate Membership is open to manufacturers, wholesalers, brokers, service providers and others interested in the services of the association. The Vermont Medical Society (VMS) has been providing services to Vermont physicians for more than 200 years. Along with providing assistance, information, and lobbying services on legislative and regulatory matters, the VMS offers its members a host of personal and professional services. VMS members enjoy access to a broad array of services and benefits that help them practice medicine more effectively and run their practices more efficiently, including group health insurance such as traditional comprehensive plans as well as high-deductible health plans in conjunction with a Health Savings Account, and over 65 retirement plans. Membership is offered to practicing or retired doctors of medicine or osteopathy with a Vermont license. A special introductory annual membership rate is available to all VHSG group members. New members will receive free membership for 2010, a 50% discount for 2011, and a 25 percent discount for 2012.
