Associated Industries of Vermont (AIV) is the only state-wide association dedicated to manufacturers and their supporting businesses and organizations. Founded in 1920, AIV has consistently stood at the forefront of the evolving issues of Vermont's manufacturing and other business sectors.   AIV membership runs the full range of the manufacturing, technology, and natural resource sectors with companies of every size and from every part of the state.  Contractors, staffing agencies, banks, engineering firms, insurance companies, law firms, retailers, and many other businesses and organizations are also members of AIV.   Dues start at $350 per year and are based on the employer’s Vermont payroll.

The Business Resource Services (BRS) member organization was formed in 1992 with a specific goal of making a cost-effective connection between small businesses and employee benefit services.  BRS welcomes all Vermont businesses and industries, including non-profit organizations and now has over 2,500 members, including self-employed individuals.  Dues start at $250 per year and are appropriately based on the size of the company.

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is a non-profit, statewide trade organization founded in 1990 by a group of business-people who believe companies have as much responsibility to workers, communities and the environment as they do to being financially successful. Over 650 businesses representing all sectors of the Vermont economy belong to VBSR.  Dues start at $185 per year.

In 1997, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont combined efforts with the state's largest hospitals to form The Vermont Health Plan (TVHP), a managed care organization (HMO) which delivers comprehensive care from a dedicated network of physicians and facilities.  Small group employers, those with less than 50 employees, may directly purchase TVHP health plans as community-rated groups.

The Vermont Medical Society (VMS) has been providing services to Vermont physicians for more than 200 years. Along with providing assistance, information, and lobbying services on legislative and regulatory matters, the VMS offers its members a host of personal and professional services.  VMS members enjoy access to a broad array of services and benefits that help them practice medicine more effectively and run their practices more efficiently, including group health insurance such as traditional comprehensive plans as well as high-deductible health plans in conjunction with a Health Savings Account, and over 65 retirement plans.  Membership is offered to practicing or retired doctors of medicine or osteopathy with a Vermont license.

For 40 years, the Vermont Retail Association (VRA) has been taking good care of businesses in Vermont, establishing a tradition of trusted service and dependable support.  The Vermont Retail Association was founded in 1968 by some of Vermont's leading retailers to promote and protect the interests of, and provide money-saving services to, members throughout the state. The VRA’s membership includes a broad range of retailers and other businesses associated with the retail sector.  Dues start at $40 per year.
